KWT Kampung Kelor Hydroponic Farmers Sells Crops Online

Women Farmers Group (KWT) Kampung Kelor Hydroponic Farmers, Tidung Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands, sold their crops online.

It is very good example of marketing method

KWT Kampung Kelor Hydroponic Farmers Leader, Susan mentioned, this time her side harvested 16 kilograms water spinach.

"We sell it Rp 10,000 per 500 grams via online, but it is still limited for Tidung Island residents only. This way we can send the crops directly to buyers," she explained, Monday (2/15).

Legislator Appreciates Urban Farming Development in Thousand Islands

She assessed, selling crops via online is very helpful in the current COVID-19 pandemic. Besides, not only more effective and efficient in marketing, but it also facilitates people who want to buy the products.

"We also plant chilies, mustard green, and so on. There are quite a lot of people in Tidung Island who are interested to buy our crops," she said.

Meanwhile, Thousand Islands KPKP Sub-agency's Agriculture and Food Security Section Head, Parsan appreciated KWT Kampung Kelor Hydroponic Farmers' innovations in marketing.

"It is very good example of marketing method. Hopefully other KWT in Thousand Islands can follow it," he stated.
